Mission Statement

NHS Blood and Transplant - Tissue Services provide safe and effective tissue for use in the field of patient care. But tissues are only available with the kindness of donors and so our approach to donor families is always with sensitivity, diligence and compassion.

We are part of the UK National Health Service (NHS) and as such are a 'non-profit organisation'. As part of the NHS we have access to the vast knowledge and experience that the NHS has in regard to research, clinical expertise and quality systems in related fields. This access helps us to maintain our high standards in tissue banking.
